UK's Prime Minister Condemn Meriam Ibrahim's Death Sentence in Sudan

David Cameron has urged the Sudanese Government to lift the "barbaric" death sentence handed down to a Christian woman accused of abandoning Islam.

A court ruled that Meriam Ibrahim (above) who was raised by her Christian mother and married a Christian, was muslim in line with her father--which she rejects. "I was brought up as a Christian. I have not committed apostacy," she said.

"I was appalled by the treatment of Ms. Ibrahim, who gave birth to her daughter in her cell on Wednesday," said the PM. He further exclaimed that her treatment has "no place in today's world," and that the UK will continue to press the Government of Sudan to act.
UK leaders Nick Clegg and Ed Miliband also condemned her death sentence.
Mr. David Cameron emphasized that "Religious freedom is an absolute, fundamental human right". "I urge the Government of Sudan to overturn the sentence, and immediately provide appropriate support, and medical care for her and her children," he said.

I REFUSE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE--- by Maureen Madu

I squeezed and scratched and searched, only for a breath of air.Laying on that dirty tormenting couch, because I was subjected to it. I could have dogged his fist 2 seconds before it landed on my feeble face, haha! if only I had 2 seconds freedom of movement. He never misses a hit. He foreeeeetells my every position. Why wouldn't he? it's his daily task. The blows and slaps, and the kicks? Gradually, I was falling apart. "Hey darling, u r soo beautiful", became "bitch get u ugly self outta my face".Yes, I am being called a bitch, 24 lazying hours a day. 7 days a freaking week. All year round the clock.Oh! U think that's the worst part? Wait till I tell you how this well mannered, loving, gentlehusband of mine appreciates my daily efforts in that godforsaken kitchen he built to imprison me. Imagine a living chicken thrown in a 100 degrees water. Yes, that is how I feel when my pot of soup betrays me by landing on my face , night and day. Although, not intentionally, but it betrays me.

Look at me. Just take a good look at me. My once *every man wants to see you first thing in the morning, face* now looking like a forbidden art. Art I say? I meant a patched piece of junk. But wait, what about intimacy? Where is my pride as a woman to say no when I don't feel like it? Hell no! Not in that selfish dictionary of his. I have now become a sex addict. You know, I didn't choose to, I was forced to it. I am battered, butchered, spit on, cursed daily. Did I forget to mention that the walls and doors of that prison home screams my name when I'm being slammed on them? Oh I'm sure that they have gotten tired of the bitch painfully caressing them. But TODAY, I refuse. I refuse to be called names. I refuse to be subjected to that couch, taking blows and kicks and slaps of my life. I refuse to be insulted by my own pot of soup. I refuse to answer when called a bitch. I REFUSE. I REFUSE. I REFUSE. I AM A WOMAN. A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. I NEED TO BE ADORED AND WELL CARED FOR. I NEED TO BE APPRECIATED. I NEED TO BE A GOOD MODEL FOR MY DAUGHTERS. I am a woman of substance, and I am breaking FREE, TODAY.

HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY, NIGERIA!

Democracy Day is a public holiday in Nigeria. It is held annually on 29 May. This public holiday commemorates the restoration of democracy in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, when the newly elected Olusegun Obasanjo took office as the President of Nigeria, ending the multiple decades of military rule that began in 1966 and had been interrupted only by a brief period of democracy from 1979 to 1983.

After gaining independence in 1960 from Great Britain, Nigeria fell prey to civil war and the first of many military coups in 1966. Democracy was briefly restored from 1979 to 1983, but for most of its independent history, Nigeria was ruled by a series of military juntas. The last major military ruler, Gen. Sani Abacha, died suddenly in 1998. His successor, Gen.Abdulsalami Abubakar promised a transition to democracy, and accordingly a new constitution was adopted on May 5th, 1999. Elections were held and retired Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, who had previously governed Nigeria as a military ruler, was elected the new president.
The end of military rule brought about a new era of regular elections as well as the return of civil liberties, free press and an end to arbitrary arrests and torture, although human rights violations still occur regularly. Nigeria also began a long campaign against the bureaucratic and military corruption that had paralysed its economy and severely tarnished its international reputation.

India to establish teacher training university in Nigeria

"To boost the teaching profession in Nigeria, India has concluded arrangements to establish a teacher training university.
The Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Ajjampur Rangaiah Ghanashyam, stated this while declaring open the Indian Education fair recently in Abuja, Ghanashyam said the idea came as a result of several discussions he had with top government officials who have longed for the return of Indian teachers in the country.
According to him, “This new initiative is not aimed at belittling the Nigerian teaching profession but a way of improving upon it that could make it at par with world standard. Indian teachers of those days greatly impacted on the nation’s education system.
“We may not have the money to come and build fancy buildings and make luxurious apartments and hotels, but we want to come to Nigeria to establish schools and help in educating your children. “If you speak to anyone in Nigeria who is in his 50s and 60s, he would tell you that his mathematics or science teacher was Indian.
“Those people who thought your parents and that generation, taught from the heart, so they are still remembered.”

PUT YOURSELF IN BEYONCE'S SHOES- WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

"Jay Z got a beat down at the hands and feet of Beyonce's hot-headed sister while the three rode in Manhattan hotel elevator--- and video of the attack is burning up the internet."

Reported by New York Daily News on Monday May 12th, 2014.

Video burning up the net they say? oh yes! and with so many deliberations as to what might have caused the cat fight by Solange, and in most cases people giving their reasons as to what caused the drama (as if they were there or knew) lol.

Entertainment Tonight (ET) news on Tuesday May 13th, commented that Solange may be bi-polar and or drunk

My question however isn't the usual; what caused the fight? Here you have a husband that you love so much, and on the other hand, a sister that you love beyond words. I am asking WHAT PRECISELY WOULD YOU DO WERE YOU TO BE BEYONCE???

SEX ON THE PLANE?

"We were on our way to Thailand to see my parents, flying commercial first class, we were under a blanket. We weren't even in one of those pod things. I feel like we should get a trophy for that." Mrs Chrissy Legend boldly told cosmopolitan. According to eonline, While chatting on HuffPost Live, Chrissy Teigen revealed her desire to procreate like the pitt; Brad and Angelina Jolie. She confessed her love for kids, and also told that she or rather, they do not plan to only have their biological kids but to also adopt. *Nice act*
Well I guess their pursuit to build the Pitt type of family led them to 'do it on the plane'(yes, Chrissy confessed on twitter to having sex with her man John Legend on their way to Thailand) or was it the hormones that kicked in at the wrong or maybe right time? T'was an adventure I suppose. Gorgeous dress between, and a complimentary suit on Mr. Legend himself.

Will you have sex on a commercial first class? Or even a private plane?

DEEP THOUGHTS, NIGERIA.

"The daughters of some of the employees at the Chibok School where the mass abduction took place in Nigeria were all out of the school when Boko Haram came into the school premises". One of the fathers told the Bbc reporter.

This could only mean one thing.
Was there an alert prior to the arrival of the BH?
If so, why wasn't it reported to authority?
This is springing up deep questions.
 What do you think?
